Cosmetic Tattoo Information

Before booking your appointment

Hi Ladies, choosing the perfect brow tattoo for you can be confusing & unfortunately not all styles of tattoo suit all ages & skin types.

I aim to be able to give you information based on you specifically. I want to insure you receive the best style of tattoo that suits your desired look, but also has amazing longevity, which therefore is great value for money also.

To assist you, please use the information below.

Skin Type & Age

Firstly, there are two main factors we need to know, what is your age & skin type?

Age is easy but skin type can be confusing to some.

You can either be - Dry, normal/combination or oily.

DRY - You generally need a face cream for it everyday for it to feel nice, otherwise you might feel dehydrated or flakey.

NORMAL/COMBO - Your face may feel like both, at times it can feel dry but in some areas of the face, like the T zone, it can feel oily. You may notice more oils in the afternoon if you are wearing makeup.

OILY - You can see oils before or around lunch time. You look shinny often (with & without makeup on) & sometimes you notice your makeup separates & becomes patchy.

Tattoo Styles

Ok, now that we’ve figured out your skin type, let’s move onto tattoo styles & which style suits certain ages & skin types.

This information is based on evidence around skin types, ages & it’s longevity for each person.

Please note: if you choose a style that’s not suited to your age & skin type, We cannot be held accountable for the tattoo not lasting the general amount of time. (we do check this information prior to starting the tattoo of course)

Microblading - This style is suited to women under 50 & with dry to normal skin only. It is the most natural looking style, if you like soft natural “hair like” tattooing to enhance & fill in gaps, this will be your best option.

If you are over 50 or have oily skin, Microblading wont work for you unfortunately. As we age, our skin looses elasticity, so the very fine lines will blur. If you are oily, your oils break down the pigment easily & it wont last the general amount of time in the skin, therefore not very good value for money

Longevity: 12-24 months.

Ombre - This style is for everyone, it has no limitations on who it can work on!

It can be customised to be a soft shadow under your brow hair or a bold & defined, “i have a brow pencil on” look also.

You can be any age (18-75) & can be any skin type.

If you are an oily skin type or over 50 this style will be your best choice for longevity.

Longevity: 2-3 years.

Combination - This style suits most people. Again though, if you are over 50 the microblading front may blur & if you are oily, the microblading wont hold, so opt for ombre in that case.

BUT for everyone else, it’s like receiving best of both worlds. Soft, microbladed, natural looking fronts & the rest shaded for definition. It’s a win win combination.

Longevity: 2-3 years.

I hope this information has helped you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.
